ABOUT Azamara Club Cruises

Azamara is the new, up-market cruise experience for discerning travelers who long to reach out-of-the-ordinary destinations and indulge in amenities and service unparalleled on the high seas. The unique offerings of Azamara are beyond compare: butler service is provided in every suite; the shore excursions (Azamara prefers to call them shore immersions), are designed to let guests become part of the fabric of life in each destination, instead of merely being an observer; the enrichment programs offer everything from culinary to photographic explorations; the two specialty restaurants provide the finest cuisine at sea; live entertainment can be enjoyed nightly; and the level of service offered is unmatched.

Azamara Club Cruises consists of two intimate ships, Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest. Each can carry 694 fortunate guests to discover the hidden corners of the world that larger cruise ships simply cannot reach. In addition to offering a more personalized experience, the ships have recently undergone a $17.5 million revitalization with new European bedding and soft goods, flat screen televisions, new veranda decking and furniture, and wireless internet service in all staterooms and public areas. Plus, 93% of the staterooms offer ocean views and 68% have a private veranda.

You may be wondering where the name Azamara comes from. Azamara is a coined term derived from the Romance languages. This includes the more obvious links to blue (az) and the sea (mar). The name was also inspired by a star, Acamar. In Classical times, the star Acamar was the most southern bright star that could be seen from the latitude of Greece. Azamara Club Cruises is a star on the blue sea. This flowing name conjures up the imagery of magnificent journeys around the world. And Azamara looks forward to sharing these voyages with you.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THIS CRUISE

Terms of booking on this website

Information disclaimer

The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or the cruise operator's error. In such a case, if you make a reservation enquiry with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website. When making a reservation via this website or over the phone, we ask you to agree to the terms and conditions displayed. Your reservation and cruise holiday will be governed by the terms of the agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you before you depart. Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Once your cruise has commenced, if the cruise line is required to change the itinerary or cancel the cruise due to safety, maritime law, severe weather or to protect human life or health, Cruise Republic will not be required to provide any compensation. We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of Victoria and the jurisdiction of the Victorian courts.

Booking information

To reserve a cabin(s), you must complete our reservations enquiry form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology.

Alternative you can contact us by -

  • Email Cruise Republic on cruise@cruiserepublic.info
  • Telephone 1300 44 00 26 (Australia) or 0800 122 129 (New Zealand)

At the time of reservation you must provide us with your full name as it appears on your passport as well as your date of birth. By making a booking with us through any of the three methods you will be deemed to have agreed to our information, Terms and Conditions.

Once you have submitted your enquiry through our website, you will receive a “CR” reference number and a bounce back email to the email address provided. This reference number is confirmation we have received your enquiry and we will come back to you shortly with the details of your booking – please be aware, this is not a confirmation and is only a summary of your booking request. We will hold the cabin in your name “for up to 5 days” as controlled by the cruise line themselves. On some cruises, the payment may be required on the day of booking or within 1-5 days of making the booking as controlled by the cruise line.

Once we have held a cabin, we will contact you via phone or email, to advise of availability and confirm the price and details. A booking is confirmed when you have been received an email confirmation notice and should you wish to proceed, we will provide you with our payment options to make your deposit payment (or full payment if the cruise is within 90 days). Your payment then becomes subject to the cancellation policy of the cruise line and Cruise Republic. These are stated in the terms and conditions. When your booking has been confirmed with a deposit payment we will send you your cruise booking number with the cruise line. Once you receive your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date without incurring a penalty. If you are booking via phone, please first make sure you have read the terms and conditions. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the customer to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure

In booking on/via this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Cruise Ship company/operator.

Amendments

Once you have paid a deposit against your cruise, any changes made to the booking will incur an amendment fee of $50 plus and applicable fees set you by the cruise line. Please see the Cruise Company's terms and conditions for cancellation and amendment policy.

Transfer to a new cruise/fare

From time to time cruise lines may advertise lower promotional cruise fares; these fares are not always available to existing bookings, however Cruise Republic will endeavour to accommodate any request to change to the lower fare. Please note this request is at the discretion of the cruise lines so is not always possible. New promotional fares may affect your current booking, resulting in reduced on-board credit.

If we are able to transfer you at the lower promotional fare a fee of $100 will be applied to your booking. Once final payment has been made for your cruise we are unable to lower the fare.

If you choose to transfer your cruise deposit to an alternative cruise departure this will also incur a fee of $100.

Cancellations

Once a deposit is made towards your cruise holiday it is deemed that you have accepted our terms and conditions, so are subject to any cancellation fees. Bookings cancelled after the deposit is paid, will incur a cancellation fee of $200 per cabin plus any additional cancellation fees set out by the cruise line. There are no cool down periods. Please see the Cruise Company's terms and conditions for cancellation and amendment policy.

Due to the issuing of refunds via Cheque by the cruiselines, refunds can take 4-6 weeks to reach us should you be entitled to any refund.

Payments

Payments towards your cruise holiday made by credit cards are subject to a transaction fee of 1.5% for Visa and Mastercard payments and 0.5% for Debit Cards. We also accept PayPal with a 1% transaction fee and AMEX which incur a 3.2% credit card fee. Payments made by bank deposit do not incur any transaction fees nor do payments made using the BPAY payment system. Please be aware payments made via bank deposit or BPAY within 24 hours of your booking expiring will require a legitimate receipt/screen shot of payment emailed through.

Onboard Credits

On selected departures we will offer you onboard credits & these may not be combinable with all cabin categories and promotions. We will send you through a confirmation which will confirm if the onboard credit is available against your booking. Making changes to your reservation could result in any onboard credits being removed. Once you have embarked the ship, the onboard credit will be applied to your onboard account to use towards any onboard purchases. Any unused portion of the Onboard Credit will expire at midnight on the last night of your cruise and is not redeemable for cash at any time.

'Guarantee' (GTY) Bookings

From time to time, we may offer you the option of making what we call a 'Guarantee (GTY) booking. This means you may book a stateroom of a guaranteed category type (Inside, Outside, Balcony) on your chosen ship and cruise. However, the exact grade, number and location of the stateroom on the ship will be allocated at the cruise lines discretion and at any time until checking in at the Port. Once your GTY stateroom has been allocated to you, we are unable to accept any changes requested by you. The benefits of a GTY stateroom are that after your booking has been confirmed, the cruise line may (at their discretion) upgrade your stateroom to a higher classed category to that originally booked at no extra charge to you. In any event, you are 'guaranteed' the minimum category you decide to book at the time of the cruise including obstructed view cabins.
If travelling with Family and Friends where you require cabins to be near one another we strongly recommend for you not to book on a Guarantee.
We cannot guarantee your cabins will be assigned near one another, on the same deck, same side or forward/aft on the ship nor accept any requests.

Complimentary Upgrades

Depending on any last minute availability the cruise lines will automatically upgrade cabins to higher categories. The upgrades can place you towards the front of the ship, midships or at the back of the ship and not necessarily on a higher deck level (i.e.: Insides Deck 10 may be upgraded to Ocean view Deck 5). As the cruise lines cannot upgrade every booking, you should book a category in which you are happy to sail. Once the upgrade has been assigned, should you dislike the cabin location we are unable to accept any changes or requests and cannot be reversed.
If travelling with family and friends where you require cabins to be near one another we strongly recommend for you to decline the upgrades. The cruise line do not guarantee all of the cabins will be upgraded, or that they will be upgraded near one another.

Future Cruise Credits

While we are happy to apply your Future Cruise Credits from the cruiselines to your booking with us, this may affect your online discounted pricing. We will still do our best to provide competitive pricing based on the discount we can offer on the new cruise fare once the future cruise credits have been applied to your booking. Please note if Future Cruise Credits are applied after your deposit has been paid may affect your final balance.

Passport & Visa Requirements.

For all international cruises all passengers will require to be in possession of a valid passport. The passport must have 6 months validity from the cruise return date.
Visa's may also be required and at the sole responsibility of the passenger. Please check with the relevant embassies or a Visa Services company for assistance.
Cruise Republic will not take any responsibility for passport or visa requirements.

In considerations of the limitations of the shipboard medical facility, equipment and staff, the company cannot accept waivers, releases or requests for exceptions to this policy.

The 21 year or older guest does not have to a parent or guardian of the person who is under 21. The letter must authorise the travelling adult to take the minor on the specified cruise and must authorise the travelling adult to supervise the minor, sign applicable sports waivers and permit any medical treatment that must be administered to the minor which in the opinion of the treating doctor needs to be carried out without delay. A letter can be legally affirmed or notarised by a practising solicitor, notary or commissioner for oaths who may charge a fee for this service. If such evidence is not produced, the minor(s) concerned will not be permitted to board the ship or undertake the cruise.

Please note that a parent(s)/legal guardian travelling with a minor who has a different surname to the parent(s)/legal guardian, will be required to produce official proof such as a full birth certificate/divorce papers etc to prove that they are parent(s)/legal guardian of the minor(s) concerned.

You are responsible to ensure that you have all necessary visas and that your passport is up to date and will remain valid for at least 6 months from the date of the termination of the cruise. Guests who do not possess the proper documentation may be prevented from boarding their flight or ship or from entering a country and may be subject to fines. No refunds will be given to individuals who fail to bring proper documentation. We regret we cannot accept any liability if you are refused entry onto any flight or into any country or otherwise suffer any difficulties or incur any costs as a result of not having an acceptable passport or visa(s).

Certain Port Authorities may from time to time ask to see photo identification when you depart the ship during the cruise. We strongly suggest that you take a photocopy of your passport (in addition to the passport itself) which you on holiday and carry the photocopy with you each time you depart the ship in order to minimise any inconvenience this may cause.

Medical Services onboard

There is a medical centre staffed by qualified doctors and/or nursers onboard all Azamara Club Cruises ships. The medical services available and medications kept onboard are limited, and guests must bring an adequate supply of any specific medications they require. Our medical facilities are not intended or designed to service as a clinic for guests.

Please note that there is a charge for all medical services provided by the onboard medical centre (including medication, consultations and treatments) and charged are not covered by private health insurance policies or by Australian Medicare and the New Zealand Accident Compensation Corporation (including cruises sailing to only Australian and New Zealand ports). We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance to cover any such charges.

Charges are based upon US Government Medicare Physician Fee schedules which are available upon request from the Guest Relations Desk.

Azamara Club Cruises is not responsible for diagnosis, treatment or services furnished by shipboard medical personnel.

Gratuities

Onboard service charges for your stateroom attendants, dining room and bar wait staff are included in your voyage fare. Please note: spa gratuities are not included in your voyage fare. An 18% gratuity will be added to your onboard account for spa services.

Security

Azamara Club Cruises highest priority is to ensure the safety and security of all guests. In order to maintain an effective and meaningful security environment and to comply with international and national security laws, regulations and guidelines, Azamara Club Cruises has established strict security procedures in the seaport terminals we utilise and onboard all our vessels. These measures include screening all guests and their personal property prior to boarding. We appreciate your cooperation in this endeavour.

Identification Required

It is the sole responsibility of the guest to identify all travel documents such as passport and visa requirements for boarding the ship and entry into the countries visited on your cruise.

For all sailings a valid passport and appropriate visa will be required for all passengers. For your protections your passport expiration date not occur within six (6) months of the voyage termination date.

Price Changes (Cruises)

We guarantee that we will not increase the price of your confirmed cruise once we have received full payment of the total cruise price from you or your travel agent. However, we may increase or decrease the prices of unsold cruises at any time.

The price of your chosen cruise will be confirmed at the time of booking. After your booking is confirmed but before final payment is received, we will only increase the price if there is an increase in the cost of any transport included in the price and/or in any dues, taxes or fees payable for any services (for examples – port taxes or charges of any sort). We will not ask you to pay more within 30 days or departure. In addition, we will pay the first part of any such increase(s) in costs up to a total amount equivalent to 2% of the cost of your confirmed cruise (excluding any insurance premiums and amendment charges). Only if any such increase(s) exceeds this 2% we will ask you to pay more. If any additional amount we ask you to pay is greater than 10% of the total cost of your confirmed cruise (excluding any insurance premiums or amendment charges) you will be entitled to cancel your booking.

Cancellation and Refunds

If you or anyone travelling with your wishes to cancel your/their cruise or flights, you must immediately give notice in writing to us or your travel agent so that your agent can give us notice of cancellation on your behalf. The cruise and flights will only be deemed cancelled from the date we actually receive written notice of cancellation from you or your travel agent. Insurance premiums and/or amendment charges cannot be refunded in the event of cancellation.

Please contact your travel agent or speak to our Air/Sea Department for your flight cancellation charges as hey vary by airline, destination and fare type.

Other cancellation policies

Depending on the reason for your cancellation, you may be able to reclaim these cancellation charges (less any applicable excess) under the terms of your travel insurance policy. Claims must be made directly to the insurance company concerned. Where any cancellation reduced the number of full paying party members below the number on which the price, number of free places and/or any concessions agreed for your booking were based, we will recalculate your holiday cost and re-invoice you accordingly. Any such invoice must be paid within 7 days if rendered within 70 days of sailing. In all other instances invoices for any such cost increases must be paid within the time frame stipulated for the payment of the balance due on the original booking. In the event that any cost increase to a booking due to a cancellation is not paid within the time limit specified, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and in those circumstances, normal cancellation charges will apply. Travel agents may impose their own charges in connection with a cruise (for example service fees) and may impose their own cancellation fees. Any charges or fees of this nature are a matter strictly between the guest and their travel agent.

Changing Your Booking

Subject to Price Changes and availability, some changes (excluding changes to ship or sailing date), can be made to your booking. You may request via your travel agent up to 45 days before departure. We will make every effort to meet your change request; however, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to make any requested change. Up to 45 days before departure an administration fee of A$50 per booking will be payable for each change requested. If you request a change within 45 days of departure, this will be treated as a cancellation of your original booking and cancellation charges as set out in these terms and conditions will be payable. The changed arrangements will then be treated as a new booking.

If you or any of the people travelling with you are prevented from taking the cruise you/they may give you/their place on the booking to someone else (suggested by you). This situation, providing we are given not less than 14 days notice in writing of your wish to make the change, we will permit the name change on payment of an administration fee of A$50. A maximum of only one passenger name may be changed per stateroom. You must produce documentary proof of the reason for the transfer with the request (e.g. a letter from a doctor). You must ensure that the administration fee and any charges/costs – as well as any amount which is still due to be paid for this cruise – as paid in full as required. We reserve the right to cancel the booking if any changes remain outstanding.

Travel Insurance

All guests must obtain appropriate personal travel insurance at the time you book your cruise, which includes a minimum cover for the cost of cancellation of your cruise, the cost of assistance including repatriation in the event of an accident or illness and the cost of medical treatment in the onboard medical centre.
